- If you guys are willing to do the tests, I'd be willing (since I ain't got the
- software to do the tests - and since I whined that others didn't seem to have
- the time to run the tests) to collect and organise the results. I guess we
- need to either decide on or develop a benchmark scene. The advantage of the
- texture examples scene is it is pretty much universal and others can run a
- comparison on their own systems. The disadvantage (as I think Stuart F.
- pointed out) is that it my not be a "typical" scene - not enough normally
- shaded polygons. I'd rather not let this descend into a prolonged debate on
- methodology. But I guess some discussion of the benchmark scene is required.
